COMMON QUESTIONS

Know what the
numbers mean.

Here are some quick answers to help you get the most from the Google Review Calculator.

Is this an exact prediction?

No. This estimate uses the figures you enter and assumes all additional reviews are 5 stars.

If your existing average is below 5.0, adding a finite number of 5-star reviews will bring it closer to 5.0 but will not make the true average exactly 5.0. A displayed rating may round differently. Use a target below 5.0 when estimating the number of additional reviews needed.

The estimate assumes every additional review is 5 stars. Lower ratings will change the result, so you may need more reviews to reach your target. Update your current review count and average rating, then run the calculation again.

Ask customers for honest feedback after they have used your service, and make the review link easy to find. Use a neutral invitation and let people describe their own experience. Avoid incentives or requests for a particular rating, and respond constructively to feedback.
